In the early 1990’s, Brookstone ventured into new types of sales avenues. It started operating small kiosks that offered a limited selection of items but still became popular in shopping malls across the country. By the following year, kiosks and catalog sales contributed 15 percent of the company’s annual revenue.
The company added a third distribution center, this time in Missouri, in 1994. Despite slowly moving its focus away from tools and towards electronics and other lifestyle products, Brookstone is still a multi-million dollar company that has retained a strong grip on their original theme of offering unique and interesting products.
